Strategic communications for arts, business, and beyond

Get your audience to say yes.

I turn scattered, underused communications into one system that reaches the people who already want what you do.

You don't have a content problem. You have a system problem.

You're already sitting on plenty. Programs, people, stories, wins. It's scattered, and it's aimed at no one in particular. You don't need to reach everyone. You need to reach the audience that already exists for what you do.

How it works

Three moves. That's the method.

Show up.

Consistently, in the places your audience already is.

Be authentic.

Sound like yourselves, not who you think you're supposed to be.

Make a connection.

Give people something to do, and a reason to do it.

Who it's for

Patterns of Meaning · Pittsburgh art collective

Five artists, a barn full of salvaged steel mill patterns, and a story living in pieces. We organized the message into three pillars and built the platform to carry it. More press followed, and so did the METAL partnership now funding the program in classrooms.

Appalachian Studio · Small art business

My first client was my dad. Instead of the art world, we took his work straight to the bluegrass world, the audience that already existed for it. That led to an International Bluegrass Music Association commission and a Wall Street Journal feature.

The audit

When the pattern isn't clear yet.

A fixed-scope look at everything you're already publishing: what's working, what's invisible, who it's actually reaching, and whether it still lines up with what you're for. You get a written report and a plan you can run with, with or without me.

About

Why Say Yes?

When my daughter was little and wanted something, she'd repeat "say yes, say yes, say yes" until I did. When I needed an LLC name in a hurry, that's what came out. It stuck. Then it turned into the job: getting audiences to say yes to my clients.

Get in touch

Let's talk.

Tell me what you're working on and who you're trying to reach. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so. One thing up front: this is not a hire-me-to-run-your-Instagram service. If you want your communications to work as a system, that's the job.
